Projectinformatie

Redwell Studio Nederland in Waddinxveen has designed a new three-storey commercial building in which sustainability is a top priority.

Timber construction

The building’s structure consists largely of timber: specifically CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) walls, laminated timber columns and beams, and timber hollow-core slabs (Kerto-Ripa floor and roof elements).
Inside, the timber structure plays a central role in the interior, with circular and sustainable materials used wherever possible.

A compact office that we, in close collaboration with the architect, have designed almost entirely in timber. The decisive factors were a high degree of sustainability, the natural appearance of the exposed structure and the short construction time.
As the lead structural engineer, SWINN produced the structural design and, in collaboration with De Groot Vroomshoop, further developed the structure.
